Jessie J will be performing at Sandown Park this summer as part of the Esher Racecourse concert.
She will be playing at Sandown Live on Thursday 7 August 2014.
Jessie J completes this years line up where she will be performing alongside Wet Wet Wet and Tom Jones. Over the past eight years, many internationally acclaimed acts have performed at the concert which takes place after the racing. Acts who have previously entertained the huge crowds include Westlife, Scissor Sisters, Girls Aloud and Madness.
Jesse J rose to prominence following the release of her debut single Do It Like a Dude. In 2011, after topping the charts in nineteen countries with the song Price Tag, she released her debut album, Who You Are, which charted at number two in the UK.
Her second album Alice was released in September 2013 and reached the top 5 in the UK album chart. She is known for mixing soul with contemporary R & B, pop, electro pop and hip-hop. Jessie J has also received recognition for serving as a coach and mentor on the BBC television show The Voice.
Rupert Trevelyan, regional director for London of The Jockey Club racecourses, stated that Jessie J is renowned as being a fantastic live act with an excellent catalogue of hits. He says, “I’m sure she will be very well received by the Sandown Park crowd. She is without doubt one of the most unique and talented artists of the moment. She has an incredible voice and her appearance at Sandown Park will be nothing less than explosive.”
Jessie J’s performance will take place after a day of horse racing.
